How do I apply?
You can apply online by heading to byRedwood.com. Search for the neighborhood you’re interested in, click the name, and then navigate to its floor plans page. From there, you can select the floor plan you’re interested in based on when you would like to move. Once you select a floor plan and specific home, you will be prompted to create an applicant login and fill out your application.
Who has to fill out an application?
Anyone who is 18+ and will be living in the home will need to fill out the application and pay the application fee. Once your application is approved, we will charge a $250 hold deposit ($500 in Kentucky), which will be applied to your security deposit at move in.
What is the application fee?
The application fee is $75 per applicant.
What if I change my mind after I pay the hold deposit?
The hold deposit is refundable within 72 hours of the application being submitted, or if we’re not able to offer you a home within 30 days of your desired move-in date.
How much is the security deposit?
The typical security deposit is $1,000 ($500 in Kentucky), and is based on credit.
Are there any move-in costs?
Move-in costs consist of the following: security deposit, pro-rated rent, pet fee (if applicable), and administrative fee ($250).
What is included in the rent?
Monthly rent includes lawn care, snow removal, and the maintenance of your home. All utilities are the responsibility of the resident.
What lease terms are offered?
We offer 6-15 month leases.
Is renting month-to-month an option?
Once a lease has been fulfilled, we offer the option of renting on a month-by-month basis. The price of renting month-to-month is an additional $500/month.
How do I pay my rent?
Rent payments are made through Redwood’s online resident portal, which offers the option to set up automatic payments. We recommend using a checking or savings account to pay your rent.
What is the smoking policy?
Redwood does not allow any kind of smoking within any of its buildings. We require all smokers to be at least 10 feet away from any building when smoking outdoors.
Is furniture rental available?
Yes! We partner with a vendor to offer furniture and décor rental. When you apply, just check ‘yes’ when asked if you would like your apartment to be furnished, and our partner will reach out with more details.
What is your pet policy?
All of Redwood’s homes allow up to three pets! There are no weight restrictions, but we do have a few breed restrictions.
What are the breed restrictions?
The following dog breeds are restricted: Akita, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Pitbull, Rottweiler, Shar-Pei, Staffordshire Terrier, or any mixed breeds that include those listed.
How much are the pet-related fees?
We charge a non-refundable fee of $300 when you move in, and then you will pay a $35 monthly pet rent. Both of these fees are per home, not per pet, so you won’t be charged extra for having multiple pets!
Are the laundry machines included in rent?
We do not provide washers and dryers to our residents. However, we do provide full-sized hookups for a washer and electric dryer in every floor plan. Residents can either bring their own machines or they can rent them from Redwood for a monthly fee.
How does renting a washer and/or dryer work?
We offer rentals through a vendor partner. We would be happy to talk you through how the process works, and go over the associated fees.
What other appliances are included with rent?
Our apartment homes come equipped with an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and disposal. Speak with our team for more information about the specific appliances that will be in your new home.
